Attorney General Holder Gives Gitmo a Clean Bill of Health

After he returned from his visit of Guantanamo, Attorney General Holder stated that there are no problems with Gitmo. Dah! "I was impressed by the people who are presently running the camp." Holder said. No kidding! I was too. But then I have been in the infantry and did some time as special duty as a guard. Those soldiers and sailors take their jobs seriously and are professionals.

"I think the facilities are good ones." I have too agree. Some of the nicest cells I have ever seen as a matter of fact. And I have see some pretty rough correctional facilities. But those prisons were for American convicts, not terrorists who are considered foreign guests and receive only the best that America has to offer.

"I did not witness any mistreatment of prisoners. I think, to the contrary, what I saw was a very conscious attempt for these guards to conduct themselves in an appropriate way." I am glad that Holder gave our troops the compliments that they all deserve so much. He also told reporters that he saw nothing to support the allegations by the Human Rights Lawyer that abuses had increased since Obama had taken office. And that has angered the ACLU, the Human Rights, and their liberal supporters in a big way. I got a kick out of one Human Rights lawyer who whined,
" Obama is going to believe some of Bush's old cronies and not us!" I might disagree with Obama on closing Gitmo and dismissing the charges against our son's killers. But the man is too smart to believe the propaganda that the liberals and their organizations have used to smear Gitmo, and the military personnel stationed there. Its all about politics to him, just like any other president.

But after that glowing report him and his boss are still adamant on closing the high dollar facility. Oklahoma Sen. Jim Inhofe, a senior Republican hopes that Obama will see the light and change his mind. "I believe that as time goes by, there is a chance the administration will grow to realize that we need Gitmo and must keep it open. More time will allow facts to replace political rhetoric." Dream on Senator. I hope that Obama will change his mind as well. But the chances are slim to none that he will do so, unless something really drastic happens in the near future. He still needs his liberal supporters and can ony anger them so much. And thats politics. click on title

Exclusive! Guards Spray Gitmo Terrorists Toilet Paper with Pepper Spray!

Human Rights lawyer Ahmed Ghappour told Reuters news that the Army and Navy guards are,"trying to get their kicks in right now for fear that they won't be able to do it later." And that the abuse is a result of Obama being elected President. That the guards are angry that a democrat won, and is closing the prison.

In one camp at Gitmo he claims that all the terrorists are on a hunger strike and have been placed on feeding tubes, and that they are then given laxatives that induce chronic diarrhea while strapped in their chairs. Go ahead and read it. I am not kidding. This is the kinda of trash talk that the ACLU, and their liberal friends eat up with a spoon. Its a shame that they are attempting to make our military men and women look like, and sound like the terrorists themselves.

The Defense Department has just concluded a report on a two week review of conditions at Guantanamo. And they found no abuse and or torture. Which has made the ACLU and their friends mad as hell. And now they are going to fabricate even more ludicrous stories of torture, and abuse in an attempt to keep up their propaganda war on Gitmo. But this story is not only ridiculous, but way over the top. The liberal stories of torture and abuse have become outrageous, and comical now.

Admiral Patrick Walsh acknowledged that there had been some cases of abuse. Like verbal abuse such as "comments, gestures, disrespect" to "preemptive use of pepper spray." Anyone who has worked in a prison knows that convicts make daily reports of abuse. That's any prison, any where. The convict knows that it takes the time of the guard, and the review board to investigate any complaint. Which over 99% are proven false in the end. Just filing the grievance gets them out of their cells for awhile, and they get to rant at the boss man or woman about how bad they got it. Plus it makes the guards life miserable. The guard will have to write a report on what happened as to, where, why, when, and who were the witnesses. The second most common method that convicts use to get out of their cells and to make life hell for the guards and the director is to fake a serious illness. And 99% of the time the doctors release them with a couple of aspirins.

And yes guards do react to convicts who display any aggressive behaviors when they are in close contact with the convict. Its very difficult to second guess a guard who has used self defense when he or she thought their life was in danger. And in any profession you will get a few bad apples. And it usually does not take to long to figure out which guards are not cut out to deal with prisoners, and or work in a correctional facility.

This Human Rights lawyer also claimed that "several of his clients have had their toilet paper sprayed with pepper spray while they have had hemorrhoids." Why did he have to add the hemorroids? I think it would have been bad with out them. That extra shock effect I guess on the liberal mind. More ear candy for his liberal audience. But I got to admit that the mental image that it conjured up in my mind had me laughing out loud. These claims will no doubt be a hot topic at the liberal colleges amongst the professors, and students. Some movie stars as well I guess. But its not right that this two bit lawyer has to slander our military men and women with outlandish stories just because the liberals are angry and indignant that their claims of mass torture at Gitmo were not believed, let alone substantiated.

And to think that the Reuters News calls this an Exclusive Story. Its more like one of those stories that that are found in the tabloids at the super market check out line that I read to get a good laugh while waiting my turn to check out. Have you ever noticed that they do not put the serious news magazines at the check out lane?

The Attack on the USS Cole and Broken Promises By Three Presidents

You would think that after 8 years since the attack on the USS Cole that some kind of justice in a court of law would have been delivered against the Cole bombers. But as of yet no American court has taken any action against the bombers in that attack in which 17 American sailors were brutally murdered, and 39 other sailors were wounded. The Forgotten Cole attack has become a national embarrassment for our nation in more ways than one. Yet our Presidents and politicians will go to any lengths to keep the truth of the Cole attack, the subsequent failed investigation, and the release of most of the killers from ever being corrected. And why? Politics plain and simple.

The attack happened on President Clinton's watch. He promised, "That justice would be served." and that the killers would be found and prosecuted. They have not. Instead some of the people in his administration which helped to mishandle the investigation into the Cole attack were promoted and rewarded. While those few individuals who attempted to shed light on the truth had their careers ruined.

And then President Bush took took the attitude of "it did not happen on my watch." and that "he did not want to be bothered chasing flies" Those flies turned into passenger jets crashing into the World Trade Center. And Bush and our nation paid dearly for his decision not to pursue the Cole investigation in a aggressive manner. After 9/11 Bush got wise and all fired up to take action on terrorism to his credit. He stated" Every terrorists must be made to live as an international fugitive with no place to settle or organize, no place to hide, no government to hide behind and not even a safe place to sleep." If only he had turned those words into action against President Saleh's regime which has aided and abetted terrorism for years now.

But he allowed just the opposite to occur with the Cole bombers in Yemen. His administration stood by and watched as the Cole bombers were pardoned, given reduced sentences, and not even tried for the attack. His support for President Saleh of Yemen did not waver until the last days of his administration. By then it was too late to take any action against Saleh's regime which was protecting the Cole bombers, which Bush had promised that he would not tolerate. By the time Bush left office President Saleh had turned Yemen into a terrorist haven, and had gotten away with the murder of 17 Innocent sailors. Yemen is now a stronghold for Al-Qaeda. And all the Cole bombers are living as free men in Yemen, some with 5 million dollar bounties on their heads. Two of the Cole bombers were allowed to travel from Yemen to Iraq to become Suicide bombers. Hamound al-Hitar a former Supreme Court of Justice in Yemen justified their actions,"Iraq was not part of the dialogue program." The two Iraq/Cole bombers had been placed in Yemen's Jihad Rehab Program as punishment. That program only requires that terrorists make a promise to Saleh, and Allah not to kill any more Americans. And Saleh has stated publicly that his Jihad Rehab will not endorse more strict and harsh consequences that the American government has asked for. Yet our own government is providing more money to build a much nicer and more comfortable Jihad Rehab Center for him.

Sheik Abdul al-Zindani of Yemen who founded and runs the al-Man University has been designated as a sponsor of Al-Qaeda by UN 1267 Sanctions Committee, yet President Saleh has not frozen his assets, and or barred him from traveling. Whats worse is that some of his students were implicated in the attack on the Cole, and one of his most infamous graduates was the American traitor John Walker Lindh. He is still spewing out his hate filled sermons about Jews and American. He has recently been behind efforts to build Jihad Camps for wanted be terrorists to go and fight against Israel.

Our government has returned ex-Gitmo terrorists back to Saleh of Yemen to meet his demands that they be freed. He has also recently freed over 170 Al-Qeada terrorists from his prisons. Yet he refuses to extradite the killers of our son, while our own government bends over backwards to make this supporter of Al-Qaeda happy. Another Cole bomber, Al-Quso escaped from prison like most Al-Qaeda terrorists in Yemen have and still do. Saleh did not even bother to tell the American government about his escape. They had to read about in the paper like I did. And he is still free in Yemen. Al-Badwai was pardoned by Saleh himself after escaping from prison at least two times, and has a 5 million dollar reward on his head as well. Hamdi al-Ahdal who was the second in command of Al-Qaeda in Yemen at the time of the Cole attack was considered a major victory in the war on terror by Bush when he was caught in Yemen. But to noones surprise he was not even tried for his part in the Cole attack and or other attacks that he helped to facilitate. Instead he was tried for supporting terrorism and released with time served. 3 years. Upon his capture he had revealed the names of wealthy Yemenis, and Saudis who helped to fund the Cole and French tanker Limburg attacks. There was no comment by the Bush administration after his release. Saif al-Adel was named as an un-indicted co-conspirator in the planning of the Cole attack and is living free in Iran. Bin Attash another Cole bomber is being held at Gitmo, but was not charged with the Cole attack for some unknown reason.

And then we have Al-Nashir who's trial we were getting ready to leave for when Obama dismissed the charges against him. And of course before that he had signed the order to close Gitmo, and to relocate the terrorist here to the states where they will be able to obtain constitutional rights. There are other terrorists involved in the attack on the Cole which I have not listed at this time. But they are all free.

Al-Qaeda views the attack on the Cole as one of their greatest victories, and even made a propaganda, and recruiting film about it. The producer of that film Al Bahlul was sentenced to life in prison at Guantanamo last November at Guantanamo, which my wife and I were lucky enough to attend and testify at. But so far al-Bahlul has been the only Al-Qaeda terrorist held accountable in a court of law by our nation. Some other Cole bombers were taken out by missles in the war. Except the ones taken out by missles in the war. Like many other Americans we thought that the Military Commissions and the tribunals was a fair system for the terrorists to be tried in. And now that the new report states that there is no torture and or abuse at Gitmo we cannot understand why Obama took the action that he did, unless it was only for political reasons. Obama will never satisfy the ACLU and the Human Rights Groups and their claims of rampant torture of the terrorists. Not unless he gives them what they really want, constitutional rights for the terrorists.

It was during the last year of the Bush administration that Senator Cornyn had worked to obtain us a Judicial Hearing, at the request of my wife and myself. We finally thought that our government was going to set things right for the murdered sailors, and their families. But then along comes our new President Obama and does everything in his power to set what little progress had been made in the forgotten Cole attack back to square one. He not only closes Guantanamo, but dismisses the charges against al-Nashiri the Cole bomber. And the Judicial hearing is canceled by Senator Leahy. Leahy now finds it more important to go after individuals in the Bush administration for torture of the terrorists, then to let the truth be know about the forgotten Cole tragedy.

The good news out of all these setbacks is the growing numbers of Americans who have decided to take up our issue of the Forgotten Cole Attack. We are now being helped by such people as our towns publisher of the newspaper, more Americans who are writing stories on the Internet about our battle with the government, Internet radio shows, Americans who are signing the petition to keep Gitmo open, and writing their congressman to demand action, and some 9/11 families who want to keep Gitmo open too. Its a good beginning in so short a time since Obama intervened on the terrorists behalf.

The plight of the forgotten murdered and the wounded sailors is not political, its about right and wrong. Its about standing up for our military men and women who put their lives on the line for us every day. And some who actually give their lives so we may keep ours. Its about ensuring that justice prevails over politics. People have asked me why do I continue to fight after being ignored by our government for so long. Its simple really. Our murdered son can no longer speak for himself. If we his parents do not speak out for him than who will? Our government has proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that they will not, and that if they do their words are meaningless, and hollow. Our son deserves the same rights if not more so than his murderers. And even though the killers and President Saleh of Yemen have more support than we do at this time from our government, I am confident that with time our Government will come to its senses and have these terrorists tried by the Military Commissions in tribunals where they belong.

Poll On Gitmo and Interview

Below is the interview for the Rockport Pilot Newspaper that was published this past Saturday. We would like to thank Mike Probst and his staff for the interview and helping us in our cause.

Please visit Gallup Polls for a non biased poll as to if Guantanamo should be closed. I have seen far right, and far left polls which of course take the side of their supporters. I have also viewed the middle of the road polls on Guantanamo which always reflect that most Americans do not want Gitmo closed. And their numbers are rising!
The far left has waged an excellent propaganda campaign against Guantanamo, and the Military Commissions. Based mostly on lies and half truths to achieve their agenda. The closing of Gitmo, and the eventual release of the terrorists. They have committed these insidious acts under the disguise of wanting only the humane treatment for the terrorists, and to have a fair trial. A noble cause which the ACLU and friends have distorted and manipulated for their own twisted and sick beliefs. What gives me hope is that most Americans can see through their web of lies, and deceit. But what really concerns me is that we now have an administration that has bought into these lies in some cases. Even if its only for political reasons it is still wrong.

"We think Obama should be impeached if the terrorists are freed because of his intervention on their behalf."

Remember the USS Cole!

The Rockport Pilot

Editor’s note: This is the first in a series of stories about Gary and Debbie Swenchonis’ fight for justice in the death of their son who was serving on the USS Cole when it was attacked Oct. 12, 2000 in Port Aden Yemen.

For more than eight years Gary and Debbie Swenchonis have mourned the loss of their son, Gary Graham Swenchonis Jr., who was killed Oct. 12, 2000, along with 16 other sailors, when terrorists attacked the USS Cole in Port Aden, Yemen.
The parents of the 1994 Rockport-Fulton High School graduate have fought gallantly to see their son’s killers, who are being held in Gitmo (the facility which holds terrorists in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba), as well as those who still run free in Yemen, brought to justice.

Their fight began at the end of President Bill Clinton’s second term in office, continued through the eight-year tenure of President George W. Bush, and has now stalled with the start of President Barrack Obama’s first term.

Today, they are tired, and are asking themselves if it’s time to give up the fight.
Prior to Obama’s election, and Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Patrick Leahy’s (D-Vermont) new determination to investigate President Bush and all things Bush, the Swenchonises, through State Sen. John Cornyn, had secured a judicial hearing in Washington, D.C.

The Swenchonises were told this month there would be no hearing, only three days after Obama told the Cole families he was dismissing charges against Al-Nashari.
"We were told last Monday the hearing is off. It’s all politics," said G. Swenchonis. "He (Leahy) does not want the Cole attack brought up, especially with Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State."
Obama’s announcement to close Gitmo, and to change the way terrorists are treated in the legal system, took all but a small breath of wind out of the Swenchonises’ sails.
"We could see the writing on the wall when Obama was elected and Clinton was named Secretary of State," said Swenchonis. "He promised to close Gitmo and find another way to hold terrorist trials."

It’s not just the current administration in which the Swenchonises are disappointed.
Information they uncovered themselves, as well as other information revealed since their son’s death, has uprooted unsettling information about which our government did not, or chose not to, act upon. That information comes from declassified documents, Yemenis who were in that country at the time of the attack, Able Danger personnel, retired FBI agents who were directly associated with the Cole investigation, etc.
"President Saleh of Yemen freed all the Cole killers who he caught," said Swenchonis. "He refuses to extradite them, even though our government is sending Yemenis charged with terrorism, from Gitmo back to Yemen."

The Swenchonis’ humble home on 8th Street in Lamar is a tribute to their fight for justice. One room is filled with files and documents collected and saved through the years.
Basic computer equipment has been used to find information which the FBI reportedly did not have.
"They sat in my living room one day and asked, "Where did you get that?" said Swenchonis. "That’s kind of scary when the government which is charged to protect us didn’t have information I had found simply by digging on the Internet."

Each letter and each promise from a government official has been followed by disappointment.
Up until now the Swenchonises have received some level of assistance from the federal government, but the government has yet to provide answers to many questions which would help give closure to their son’s death, a death in the line of duty in service to his country.
To continue the fight they have to now hire a big name attorney (a minimum $15,000 retainer), and that will not guarantee closure. The attorney’s job would be to lobby the government in an effort to change their mind about closing Gitmo, as well as keeping the Military Commissions (as opposed to trials in traditional American courts).

"It will take a lot of money to fight Obama’s decision (in regard to Gitmo, etc.)," said Swenchonis. "We probably wouldn’t win. Our son is worth it, but where do you draw the line?
"As of now we have nobody to lobby for us, as opposed to the terrorists at Gitmo who have the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), international human rights groups, and the far left liberals."

He said his family is "so sick of how terrorists have more rights than we do. We’re seriously thinking about backing off because we’re very tired, but we do have a lot of support from your average Americans and Yemenis. They have helped us tremendously."
Swenchonis is disabled now, being forced to retire after working in a field in which he provided well for his family. D. Swenchonis continues her employment.
Swenchonis has been "connected" since before the attack on the Cole.

He said the leader of Able Danger, Col. Tony Shaffer, testified before Congress after the Cole attack and asked "what happened" to Able Danger’s warning of such an attack.
"He was forced into retirement," said Swenchonis, "like anyone else in the government who has tried to get answers.
"I feel bad for them, but at least they tried to do the right thing."
Another example of the stonewalling in our nation’s capitol was the case of John O’Neill, the lead FBI agent in the Cole investigation.
"He had demanded some of the members of the Yemeni president’s family be investigated, along with some members of the Yemeni military," said Swenchonis. "He left Yemen to return back to Washington, D.C. for a report, but was then blocked by the State Department from re-entering Yemen by American Ambassador to Yemen Barbara Bodine.
"He was very frustrated and had complained the Cole investigation was not being handled properly by the Yemenis."
In frustration, O’Neill retired in August 2001. On 9-11, the first day of his new job, he was killed. His new job was head of security at the World Trade Center.

Will the truth behind the Cole attack ever be revealed?
Will the freed killers in Yemen with $5 million bounties ever be extradited back to the United States to stand trial?
Will the Swenchonises ever be able to have closure to their son’s death?
Will they ever have their hearing before the judicial committee?
There was much hope last year when they sent a letter (see related story page 10B) requesting a hearing, and then subsequently learning one was planned – until Obama took office.
The Swenchonises were asked, with one day’s notice, along with other Cole and 9-11 victim’s families, to fly to Washington, D.C. to meet with President Obama so he could "personally" explain his decision to close Gitmo and speed up the release of many of those held at the facility.
"We didn’t go because we knew he would not change his mind," said Swenchonis.
The Swenchonises have been to Gitmo.
"I don’t understand how Obama can close Gitmo after it and the Military Commissions were approved by a bipartisan Congress.
"What about all our members of the military who fought and died to capture these terrorists?
"The prison is brand new. I saw it. I was there.
"Those terrorists live and eat better than many Americans. I watched them. I went into their cells.
"They even have arrows painted on the floor so they know in which direction to pray when they kneel to say their prayers.
"They get their Korans from the government, while in some of our own prisons Bibles and other reading materials, such as Alcoholics Anonymous books, have to be donated. I was the director of a federal community corrections facility, as well as a counselor at a state prison. I know.
"They even have signs which read ‘Do not disturb’ for praying."
So how do the Swenchonises feel about Obama’s plans?
"We think Obama should be impeached if the terrorists are freed because of his intervention on their behalf," said Swenchonis.
Should the local family give up its fight against the big government machine?
Would you?

ACLU is Shocked That Obama Has Sided With Bush Policies

I was shocked too when I read the news that Obama had sided with the Bush White House in agreeing that detainees in Afghanistan have no constitutional rights. But not for the same reasons as the ACLU was shocked and stunned of course at Obama's decision.

The Justice Department states that the Afghan terrorists held at Bagram Air Base are enemy combatants. As compared to the terrorists at Gitmo who have been held there for years with-out a trial. The four terrorists had tried to challenge their captivity. And of course the good old ACLU was first in line to help them to do it. The judge handling the case gave Obama a month to figure out if he wanted to side with Bush, in that the terrorists had no constitutional rights. Thank God Obama backed Bush on this one. But the ACLU was"shocked" and a human rights lawyer complained, "The hope that we all had in Obama to lead us on a different path has not turned out as we hoped."

There are about 600 terrorists locked away at Bagram, and that number is sure to keep growing with a new offensive in the works. And I have the distinct feeling that we will all be hearing much more about claims of torture and abuse at Bagram in the near future after this set back for the ACLU and human rights groups.

A White House official even added more misery and anguish for the suffering members of the ACLU and human rights groups today when he reveled that a new pentagon report found no abuse and or torture at Guantanamo! The ACLU, human rights groups, and liberals are furious!

Mr. Romero the head cheese of the ACLU stated "they are sweeping the abusive Bush policies under the rug", and "its a whitewash." The ACLU has been itching to conduct their own inspection of Gitmo so that they can uncover all the torture and abuse that no-one else can find. The report is to be delivered to the White House today.

Its good to hear that Obama has decided not to side with the ACLU, and the human rights groups in regards to the Afghan terrorists at least. The Afghan war will be a long one with many captured terrorists to deal with. Its a sure bet that the same old culprits the ACLU and the human rights groups will be fighting the Obama administration now like they did Bush from the very beginning. Which led in part to the long delays between the Gitmo terrorists trials. Obama can consider himself lucky really. Bush had to endure all the roadblocks and hurdles that the ACLU and friends could throw at him in their attempts to block the trials of the Gitmo terrorists. In many cases he had to learn as he went so to speak. American has never had such a strong internal enemy as the ACLU and some of the human rights groups who are so insistent at helping the enemy win the war, except for the Vietnam war which we lost. The liberals learned many tactics from their victories in the Vietnam war that they have perfected and applied with great success to the current war. The most important of those two tactics are the use of our own courts to win battles, and the use of propaganda to influence the public opinion. Obama is going to have the same problems and headaches in dealing with his liberal supporters that Bush had, even more so because he knows that he may need their support in the future. So he will have have to throw them a political bone at times to keep them contented. And that bone has been Gitmo and the terrorists confined there up till now.

Its going to be interesting to see how Obama breaks the news himself to his old supporters that there was no torture or abuse at Gitmo. Maybe Obama will focus on the Gitmo recommendations that the terrorists do not get enough time to socialize and or spend to much time counting flies in their cells. But I doubt that those small hardships will be enough to satisfy the ACLU demands that no torture and abuse was not found at Gitmo.

Obama Suffers Set Back in Closing Gitmo and Holder Visits Gitmo

In a major setback for the Obama administration in its attempts to close Gitmo a Federal appeals court overturned a judges order that would have freed 17 Gitmo terrorists into the United States.

In the ruling all three judges of the court agreed to reverse Judge Urbina’s original ruling that the terrorists could be released into the United States. The judges who over turned the ruling wrote " Never in the history of habeas corpus has any court thought it had the power to order an alien held overseas brought into the sovereign territory of a nation and released into the general population." Amen to that. How refreshing to hear some realistic and sane words from a judge. Obviously the ACLU and the Human Rights groups are as angry as a bunch of wet cats over this setback to their goal of having all the terrorists at Gitmo freed into the United States.

And it was announced yesterday that attorney general Eric Holder himself will pay a visit to Gitmo this coming Monday to inspect the prison and talk with some of his most ardent supporters who are confined there, the terrorists. He wants to ascertain the status of the terrorists and, " to see how people are being detained, to talk to people down there about the interrogation techniques that are being used." Well Mr. Holder I am willing to bet you that the terrorists will have numerous stories of abuse and torture to relate to you, and how their rights are being denied to them. But would you please keep in mind while you hear their cries of anguish that we your fellow Americans who are their victims in some cases, only wish that we had as many rights, and advocates as they do. And maybe you can remind them that at least they have the American Government as their biggest advocate, while we the actual victims only have our families, friends and concerned citizens to help us.

And of course our elected politicians but only if they are republicans, we have at least one republican who remains silent on the issue. Congressman Ron Paul. At present I know of no democratic politicians who have disagreed with Obama's decision.

Thank You Senator Hutchison

Dear Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison

We the parents of deceased Fireman Gary G. Swenchonis, Jr. want to thank you for writing a letter to President Obama to reconsider the closure of Guantanamo Prison. As you know President Obama just recently dismissed the charges against al-Nashiri the terrorist accused in the attack on the USS Cole which killed our son.

We are extremely worried that if al-Nashiri and the other terrorists are moved to a prison here in America that they will receive constitutional rights, which would possibly lead to their release.

We hope that you and your fellow republicans will continue to fight President Obama’s decision not only for the safety of all Americans, but also that our son and his family can finally receive justice after 8 long years.

Respectfully,

Gary and Debbie Swenchonis

Is America on the Highway to a Bad Nightmare?

Obama and his fellow defeatocrats are bound and determined to undo just about everything and anything that Bush and his administration implemented in the War on Terror. Plus the calls for a so called Truth Commission concerning the Bush administration is gaining ground with each passing day amongst the democrats. Senator Leahy who refused to let the Cole Hearing go forward because it would have embarrassed former President Clinton is now ready to go after Bush and company. What a bunch of hypocrites.

At the swearing in ceremony for the inexperienced(even the New York Times had to admit that) new CIA Director Leon Panetta, VP Biden blamed Bush for giving Al-Qaeda a recruiting tool. He said that the Bush administration's detention and interrogation policies "gave Al-Qeada a powerful recruiting tool."

This is coming from Biden who's boss has closed Gitmo, stopped the trials of the terrorists, and closed the secret overseas detention program for Al-Qaeda terrorists in less than a month since he has been in office. I would have to say that the Obama administration has gotten off to an even better job at giving Al-Qaeda some powerful tools to take advantage of.

And then we have the Truth Commissions which 24 democrats have signed on to it. And one of those democrats is none other than the infamous Barney Frank's. And of course our all time favorite democrat, Nancy Pelosi who has expressed an interest as well. I bet she has!

So our economy is a wreck, we are in the middle of a war, the Gitmo terrorists and their trials are in limbo, we have a new CIA Director who does not know anything about intelligence, a new front opening up in Afghanistan with only half the troops needed, and the General in charge announced today that "we cannot win this war, only protect America interest at best", and these idiots want to screw the country up even more with their petty resentments by holding Truth Commissions. Oh! And lets not forget that our neighbor to the South, Mexico is about ready to plunge into complete chaos too. Is it any wonder that very few Americans have any faith left in these clowns at all?

Two Victims of Terrorism with Tough Choices

Heidi Litle's 14 year old daughter was killed by a Palestinian terrorists 5 years ago when the terrorist blew the bus up with 17 men, women, and children. But now she has to deal with the prospect that one of the terrorists will be freed in exchange for Gilad Schalit an Israeli soldier who has been held as a captive by Humas since 2006.

Israel has announced that there will be no acceptable peace till Schalit is returned back to Israel safe and sound. The only problem is that the terrorists want 1,000 of their old buddies in exchange for him. And Ms. Litle knows there is the possibility that her daughters killer will be one of these men. She has even wrote the Schalit family telling them if that's what it takes then she agrees with it. That would be one tough spot to be in. I can only say that she is in my prayers. She does not want the Schalit family to suffer the loss of a child. A gaping hole in a family that stays there forever. I agree with her to a point. And admire her courage, and faith.

While at the other end of the table is Mr. Moshe Kenan who lost a 22 year old son in the Israeli army who was trying to capture a Palestinian terrorist. He believes that Schalit should be brought home by a military operation. And not by an a prisoner swap which favors the terrorists.

Kenan has written a letter to Olmert and his cabinet ministers to urge them not to free terrorists for Schalit. "I am turning to you from the depths of my heart to ask that you stop speaking of the release of terrorists, which only causes pain to the families of soldiers who have risked their lives and are now being told that their actions were in vain."

As the father of a son who was murdered by terrorists while serving his country I have to say that I agree with Mr. Kenan that both of our governments have come to see our military men and women as nothing but pawns to be used to their advantage when the need arises. And then cast aside when they are no longer of any use. My own government has freed numerous Yemeni terrorists while not getting even one of our sons killers back in exchange. Only to see many of those freed terrorists returned back to killing innocent people again.

I did not agreed with Bush when I heard that he had freed Yemeni terrorist back to Yemen, nor do I agree with Obama's plan to free more terrorists back to Yemen while our sons killers walk the streets as free men. And my tax dollars are being used to support his evil regime which has and does support the organization which killed our son. We were happy that Bush had set up a camp to keep these terrorists isolated from America. And that he and a bipartisan congress had agreed upon a procedure that would give the terrorists a fair trial.

Its clear to anyone that the bad guys are winning out on these deals. Big time. Its way past time that some of our leaders learn to grow a backbone like our soldiers have and to stand up to these savages, and the nations that support them. Israel has been freeing terrorists left and right. And for what? Nothing. Our own government has been pleading with the likes of President Saleh for over 8 years, and for what. Nothing. But yet the political games continue. While the families wait and wait for their governments to obtain some measure of justice for their loved ones.

Thousand of Americans who have had family members murdered by the terrorists are now waiting again to see what Obama will do. Just like we waited for Bush and congress for years. And no sooner is a system agreed upon to hold trials for these murderers than its done away with by the stroke of a pen. What was that all about? All that time, money, blood, sweat and tears.

In the end I think its going to be the real victims, victims of terrorism that get the short end of the stick again.

Terrorist Turns Himself Back in to Jihad Rehab for Rest and Recreation

Abu al-Hareth Muhammad al-Oufi a former ex-Guantanamo terrorist has apparently turned himself back in to the Saudi Jihad Rebab Center, after his latest relapse. Its reported that he surrendered Tuesday. He was originally released back in 2007 from Gitmo and then sent to the famous Jihad Rehab in Saudi Arabia.

He was on the list of most wanted terrorists that the Saudis just recently released that included 10 more former Gitmo terrorists. He appeared not too long ago in a video on the Internet preaching hell fire and damnation to all infidels along with another terrorist who had failed his rehab.

I hope we are not seeing the beginnings of a new trend where these lowlifes will use the Saudi Jihad Rehab as a refuge. Here in the states before they tightened up the laws, the criminals would commit crimes and then run to the Drug and Alcohol Rehab. By law we were not able to release any names of the clients at the Rehab. Buying the criminal some much needed rest and a place to to plan their next move. Junkies pulled the same thing, they would spend 30 days in treatment and get cleaned, and get their health back as well. Then hit the streets and start ripping and running all over again till they were ragged out, and then re-admit themselves for another 30 days of rest and relaxation. So it will not surprise me in the least if we do not see more terrorists taking advantage of the Saudi Jihad Rehab as a haven to rest up, and to avoid any consequences for their violent and often times murderous actions.

I can hear the bleeding hearts now. "But he is sorry! And he wants to start a new life!" Whatever. The Saudi Rehab is first class living too. The recovering terrorist(if there is such a thing) has all his expenses paid for. Plus many more goodies to boot upon completion of his rehab. Do any of the so called authorities, and politicians ever think about the real victims anymore? Or that archaic and quaint value that an individual is responsible for their actions.

What really has me worried and other families that have had loved ones murdered by some of these terrorists is that there is the distinct possibility that Obama will use the Saudi Rehab as an easy out to get rid of his "terrorists problems". Out of sight and out of mind so to speak. He will then be able to claim that justice has been served, and that the terrorists are someone elses problem now. And then if one of the terrorist has a "relapse" and can't stop the cravings for just one more bombing and kills some innocent people, Obama and his administration will be able to claim that relapse is a part of the treatment process. And that these kind of unfortunate setbacks are bound to happen. But that that we must focus on the positive outcomes.

Unfortunately most of the terrorists left in Gitmo are Yemenis and President Saleh is releasing them as fast a they are returned to him. But yet Saleh refuses to extridite our sons killers while our own government does nothing but give him more money and his terrorists back. Our government has been playing this game with Saleh for 8 years now, and counting.

Saleh of Yemen sent a delegation to the democratic convention, and hailed the election of Obama as a victory for Yemen and the Arab world. It appears that near the end of the Bush administration that Saleh and Bush had a serious falling out. Bush for some reason had begun to push really hard for the extradition of one our sons killers, and demanded that Saleh had to quit releasing terrorists back on to the street. Which of course Saleh refused both requests several times.
So here we are now. And Saleh is still making out like a Fat Cat with American money, releasing terrorists, and protecting the killers of 17 American sailors.

Did I hear someone promise "change". Or was that just an echo from 2004, 2000, 1996, etc...

A 9/11 Father's Opinion of the Meeting with Obama

The following link will take you to the Peter Gadiel president of 9/11 Families for a Secure America. He lost a son in the 9/11 attack, and has written an excellent article on his opinion as to what Obama is going to do with the terrorists currently at Gitmo.

I agree with all if not most of Mr. Gadiel's opinion. In his article he points out that Obama can send the terrorists back to their homelands and that some will return back to terrorism. And even Obama has stated as much himself. "Some of these terrorists may commit more terrorist acts once they have been released." Is Obama setting us all up for that possibility? I don't know, but I hope not. I do know that eleven of the most wanted terrorists by the Saudi government had been returned from Gitmo back to them for Jihad Rehab. They have relapsed, and are back to their old ways.

Returning the terrorists back to their respective countries after a stay at the Saudi Jihad Rehab was and is an easy out for our government to wash their hands of the problem. The only people who will really lose out will be the families of the victims, and the future victims themselves and their families. Until as Mr. Gadiel points out one of them commits a large scale attack that kills hundreds or thousands of innocent people. Especially if that attack occurs here in America under Obama's watch. He can kiss his re-election chance good-bye. I like to think that Obama is too shrewd of a politician to take that chance.

But once they are here in America the liberal kooks will demand that they get all the rights of an ordinary criminal. And they will. And then they will walk out of that courtroom as free men. Anyone with half a brain knows and understands that. The liberals do, and are using their powerful influence to make that happen if it comes to that. Every day there is a new account of torture on one of the poor and suffering terrorists at Gitmo according to them. They are ensuring that by spewing forth their propaganda of torture at Gitmo is always in the news. This way they can keep the pressure on Obama as he considers his decision.s

All anyone has to do is spend some time reading the major liberal internet sites. Yeah, it hurts and is a stomach turning job but it always pays to know what your enemy is up too, as if we don't know. A Golden Rule to follow with liberals is: If its bad for America and Americans they are for it. Its unbelievable the amount of support that these terrorists have from fellow Americans. On some sites you can sign up to be a pen pal to a terrorist, or send them gifts, or contribute money to the cause, or just help out however you can, and if your a lawyer you can sign up to provide free legal services. To think that these Americans are helping the scumbag that murdered our son and other fellow Americans is beyond belief at times.

Obama has 120 days to come up with a solution for al-Nashiri and what he is going to do with him. There can be many changes, good or bad for Obama during that time. So he will no doubt have to take into account which way the political winds are blowing before he makes those decisions. I do know that it still very difficult for me to accept that our sons killers have more rights than we do, or our son did. And that's not right.

Yemen Parliament Signs Law Criminalizing Peace with Israel

105 members of the Yemeni Parliament have signed a law criminalizing relations with Israel in a gesture of solidarity with the Palestinians. And of course with the terrorist thugs, Hamas. Why am I not surprised? "So, we do not want our country to have a hand in any collusion with Israel against the Palestinians" stated Al-Hazmi a member of parliament. Well Mr. Al-Hazmi I bet you and your fellow Jew hating buddies are not going to tell Uncle Sam that you do not want anymore of our money, are you now?

And you Sir have the nerve to talk about collusion when your President makes deals with Al-Qaeda when ever it serves his purposes. Members of your government have defended the release of our sons killers by saying "that is how we work here in Yemen". Your government has stated publicly that it refuses to initiate a Jihad Rehab Program that holds terrorists responsible for the murders that they commit. That your courts will continue to recognize that Jihad is legal in Yemen. That its not against Yemen law for Jihadist to travel to Iraq to fight our soldiers. Yet your government is still begging my government to increase its aid in the form of dollars to your country. The number of ways that you support Al-Qaeda is endless and yet you talk about collision?

Its my hope that one day soon that our scientists will invent a "common sense pill" and distribute them by the buckets to American politicians who support your backstabbing and terrorist loving nation . (click on title for story)

Our Letter Asking Senator Leahy to Reconsider His Decision to Not Have a USS Cole Hearing

Dear Senator Leahy,
Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee

My name is Gary G. Swenchonis, Sr. I am the father of Gary G. Swenchonis, Jr who was murdered in the attack on the USS Cole on 10/12/00 along with 16 of his mates. Thirty nine other sailors were wounded in that attack as well.

Senator Cornyn’s office has informed me that you are not receptive to a Judicial Hearing into the issues surrounding the attack on the Cole, the subsequent failed investigation because of the lack of cooperation and overt interference on the part of the Yemeni regime, and our nation’s continued support of the Yemeni regime which is harboring three of the Cole bombers with 5 million dollar bounties on their heads. That failed investigation would have major ramifications for our nation just 10 months later on 9/11. But yet I just recently read where you asked President Obama for a Truth Commission to investigate the Bush administrations anti-terror programs. We think its way past the time for a Truth Commissions investigate President Saleh and how he has freed all of our sons killers. And how he refuses to take any action against other individuals in his country which aid and support Al-Qaeda. This support has been documented by the United Nations in some cases. Saleh has also released numerous captured terrorists who have returned back to Al-Qaeda, which has been documented. Some of these terrorists were freed from Guantanamo Prison. Why do we even bother to capture these terrorists, just to set them free to kill innocent people again.

There is more than enough evidence to prove the complicity of the Yemeni regime interfering with the investigation into the Cole attack, and Saleh’s continued support of Al-Qaeda. We are asking you to reconsider your decision in not letting the hearing take place. And to give the murdered sailors and their families the truth and justice that they have been denied for so long by our own government, and the Yemeni Regime. And in which they so rightly deserve.

As you know just recently President Obama decided to dismiss the charges against one of the Cole bombers, and to close Guantanamo. Effectively denying our son and us justice again. Unfortunately this has become a habit in dealing with all of the Cole bombers, except those killed by President Bush in the war, they have all gotten off one way or another. Please Sir, we are pleading with you to change your mind and let the hearing go forward. We have more than enough facts to substantiate our claims, and credible witnesses as well. I have been informed by the leading FBI agent that he will testify, and members of Able Danger, and the Commander of the Cole. I have also been told that some ex-cabinet members of the Yemeni regime will testify, and maybe former members of the Yemeni Navy too.
Sir, I hope you find it in your heart to take the side of truth and justice, and not partisan politics.
Thank-you for your time in these most serious matters.

Sincerely and Respectfully,
Gary G. Swenchonis, Sr. and Deborah Swenchonis Remember the Cole!

ACLU is Mad at Obama (Good!)

"This is a betrayal of the rule of law." That is from an ACLU lawyer who is all hot and bothered that Obama has invoked the same "state secrets privilege" that was used by the so called evil Bush administration. And the ACLU's hero Obama is using those same tactics. The ACLU's case states that the trials of five Gtimo terrorists should not go forward because they are victims of the "extraordinary rendition program", and that they were all tortured. Of course!

The ACLU Pinhead lawyer Ben Wizner, also stated "To date, not a single alleged tortured victims has had his day in court." I got news for you Mr. Wizner, we the victims families of the Cole attack have not had our day in court either. And its been 8 long years! And your terrorist loving agency along with its fanatical liberal supporters managed to convince Obama to stop the only trial that would have been held for one of the terrorist that killed our son, and his mates.

In a statement, Comrade Anthony D. Romero, ACLU executive director, said: "Obama ran on a platform of change that would reform the abuse of state secrets, but Obama has has reneged on that important civil liberties issues." First off Comrade Romero every candidate that has ever ran for public office runs on the platform of "change". And rarely delivers. Get used to it. Its a fact of life, and politics. Secondly I hope that Obama has realized that he can go only go so far when it comes to helping your anti-American organization. If he were to do everything that you and your supporters want we would cease to be a nation. Which sometimes I really think in the goal of the ACLU in the first place. Third, I think he is trying to protect you idiots from yourselves in the long run.

But do not despair Comrade! Obama may yet have al-Nashiri the Cole bomber tried in a civilian court where he will go free, or send him back to Yemen where he will be freed to re-join Al-Qaeda again. Our government had a perfectly good system that had been approved by a bipartisan congress to deal with the vermin at Gitmo. And I might add a perfectly good prison as well to keep these psychos away from Innocent people. But Obama took it upon himself to ignore congress and to close Gitmo, to drop the charges against al-nashiri, and stop all the other trials of the terrorists. So you, the ACLU, and your followers have done quite well so far in your support of Al-Qaeda, and the terrorists. I think you all have earned a slap in the face from each other. I mean a slap on the back for a job well done!

It may help you and your supporters Comrade Romero to console yourselves with the thought that Comrade Stalin would have been extremely proud of your actions. I know Bin Laden must be.

Who Will Say No To Evil

The father of Daniel Pearl who was brutally murdered some seven years ago wrote the following letter. He is a Professor at UCLA. His letter gives an extremely accurate description of how terrorism and those who support it like the liberals here America have taken something evil and turned it into good. I for one think that the average American knows and realizes that the terrorists and their insidious acts of murder and beliefs are not only wrong but evil. I also believe that Americans know that those like the far left liberals and some so called Human Rights groups who support the terrorists and their cruel and vicious acts of barbarism are just as wrong and evil as the terrorists. Maybe they are even worse than the terrorists who commit the atrocities against their fellow humans. Because its the terrorist supporters who are attempting to normalize the acts of murder, rape and torture that the terrorists commit. They claim that the terrorists are victims and have every reason in the world to murder Innocent people and then be freed if caught. It is the far left liberals and their sick and twisted ideology and active support of the terrorists that only encourages more acts of murder, and violence. The far left liberals and some of the Human rights groups are demanding that we the average American not only validate the terrorist and their actions, but to accept those perverted actions as good, and not evil. At the present time the lunatic fringe, the far left has made serious in roads into our government and dictating national policy. What gives me hope is that I am seeing more and more Americans beginning to unite and take action against the far left and their destructive and dangerous beliefs than I have at any other time in our history. I only hope that its not too late.

Mr. Pearl's Letter:
Daniel Pearl and the Normalization of Evil When will our luminaries stop making excuses for terror?By Judah Pearl, February 3, 2009, Wall Street Journal

This week marks the seventh anniversary of the murder of our son, former Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl. My wife Ruth and I wonder: Would Danny have believed that today's world emerged after his tragedy?
The answer does not come easily. Danny was an optimist, a true believer in the goodness of mankind. Yet he was also a realist, and would not let idealism bend the harshness of facts.

Neither he, nor the millions who were shocked by his murder, could have possibly predicted that seven years later his abductor, Omar Saeed Sheikh, according to several South Asian reports, would be planning terror acts from the safety of a Pakistani jail. Or that his murderer, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, now in Guantanamo, would proudly boast of his murder in a military tribunal in March 2007 to the cheers of sympathetic jihadi supporters. Or that this ideology of barbarism would be celebrated in European and American universities, fueling rally after rally for Hamas, Hezbollah and other heroes of "the resistance." Or that another kidnapped young man, Israeli Gilad Shalit, would spend his 950th day of captivity with no Red Cross visitation while world leaders seriously debate whether his kidnappers deserve international recognition.

No. Those around the world who mourned for Danny in 2002 genuinely hoped that Danny's murder would be a turning point in the history of man's inhumanity to man, and that the targeting of innocents to transmit political messages would quickly become, like slavery and human sacrifice, an embarrassing relic of a bygone era.

But somehow, barbarism, often cloaked in the language of "resistance," has gained acceptance in the most elite circles of our society. The words "war on terror" cannot be uttered today without fear of offense. Civilized society, so it seems, is so numbed by violence that it has lost its gift to be disgusted by evil.

I believe it all started with well-meaning analysts, who in their zeal to find creative solutions to terror decided that terror is not a real enemy, but a tactic. Thus the basic engine that propels acts of terrorism -- the ideological license to elevate one's grievances above the norms of civilized society -- was wished away in favor of seemingly more manageable "tactical" considerations.
This mentality of surrender then worked its way through politicians like the former mayor of London, Ken Livingstone. In July 2005 he told Sky News that suicide bombing is almost man's second nature. "In an unfair balance, that's what people use," explained Mr. Livingstone.

But the clearest endorsement of terror as a legitimate instrument of political bargaining came from former President Jimmy Carter. In his book "Palestine: Peace Not Apartheid," Mr. Carter appeals to the sponsors of suicide bombing. "It is imperative that the general Arab community and all significant Palestinian groups make it clear that they will end the suicide bombings and other acts of terrorism when international laws and the ultimate goals of the Road-map for Peace are accepted by Israel." Acts of terror, according to Mr. Carter, are no longer taboo, but effective tools for terrorists to address perceived injustices.

Mr. Carter's logic has become the dominant paradigm in rationalizing terror. When asked what Israel should do to stop Hamas's rockets aimed at innocent civilians, the Syrian first lady, Asma Al-Assad, did not hesitate for a moment in her response: "They should end the occupation." In other words, terror must earn a dividend before it is stopped.

The media have played a major role in handing terrorism this victory of acceptability. Qatari-based Al Jazeera television, for example, is still providing Sheikh Yusuf Al-Qaradawi hours of free air time each week to spew his hateful interpretation of the Koran, authorize suicide bombing, and call for jihad against Jews and Americans.

Then came the August 2008 birthday of Samir Kuntar, the unrepentant killer who, in 1979, smashed the head of a four-year-old Israeli girl with his rifle after killing her father before her eyes. Al Jazeera elevated Kuntar to heroic heights with orchestras, fireworks and sword dances, presenting him to 50 million viewers as Arab society's role model. No mainstream Western media outlet dared to expose Al Jazeera efforts to warp its young viewers into the likes of Kuntar. Al Jazeera's management continues to receive royal treatment in all major press clubs.

Some American pundits and TV anchors didn't seem much different from Al Jazeera in their analysis of the recent war in Gaza. Bill Moyers was quick to lend Hamas legitimacy as a "resistance" movement, together with honorary membership in PBS's imaginary "cycle of violence." In his Jan. 9 TV show, Mr. Moyers explained to his viewers that "each [side] greases the cycle of violence, as one man's terrorism becomes another's resistance to oppression." He then stated -- without blushing -- that for readers of the Hebrew Bible "God-soaked violence became genetically coded." The "cycle of violence" platitude allows analysts to empower terror with the guise of reciprocity, and, amazingly, indict terror's victims for violence as immutable as DNA.

When we ask ourselves what it is about the American psyche that enables genocidal organizations like Hamas -- the charter of which would offend every neuron in our brains -- to become tolerated in public discourse, we should take a hard look at our universities and the way they are currently being manipulated by terrorist sympathizers.

At my own university, UCLA, a symposium last week on human rights turned into a Hamas recruitment rally by a clever academic gimmick. The director of the Center for Near East Studies carefully selected only Israel bashers for the panel, each of whom concluded that the Jewish state is the greatest criminal in human history.

The primary purpose of the event was evident the morning after, when unsuspecting, uninvolved students read an article in the campus newspaper titled, "Scholars say: Israel is in violation of human rights in Gaza," to which the good name of the University of California was attached. This is where Hamas scored its main triumph -- another inch of academic respectability, another inroad into Western minds.

Danny's picture is hanging just in front of me, his warm smile as reassuring as ever. But I find it hard to look him straight in the eyes and say: You did not die in vain.

Yemen Denies it Released Al-Qaeda Terrorists. Again

The Yemeni Regime mouth piece stated that Yemen had only released 108 criminals, but not Al-Qaeda terrorists. In my pervious post I had noted how brazen that Saleh of Yemen has become in his dealings with Al-Qaeda. Before when he would help Al-Qaeda and get caught, he would either say it would not happen again(but it would) and or come out and change the story if his regime started to take to much flak. When it was found out that he had released the a Cole bomber he had him placed in jail so he could show the inspectors from other countries. Then he would release him after the inspectors had left. One of his newspapers ratted him out on that one. So all and all nothing new with our partner's behavior in the war on terror. Still up to his old tricks. CNN

4 ex-Gitmo Prisomers Released To Iraqi Government

Four Iraqi prisoners have been transferred from Gitmo to Iraqi custody. The prisoners were arrested in Afghanistan then sent to Gitmo. It amazes me how our government is ensuring that every other nationality is having their rights respected, and receiving swift action by President Obama except for the American families of the victims killed by terrorists. Instead he chose to dismiss the charges ahainst al-Nashiri and spend another months reviewing what course of action would then be taken. When we already had a system in place that had been approved by a bipartisan congress. But petty politics is more important than justice. We have only waited 8 years now for our government to take some action. But who's counting right? (click on title for story)

Yemen Frees 170 More Al-Qaeda Suspects

President Saleh of the Yemeni Regime just released 170 terrorists having ties with Al-Qaeda. This good news for the terrorists and Al-Qaeda comes just two weeks after the Al-Qaeda faction in Yemen announced in a Internet video that the Saudi Arabia Al-Qaeda Faction was joining them in Happy Yemen! The two terrorists factions have decided that they can kill more people and be more successful as one group, and with Yemen as their base of operations, where they will be protected by Saleh's government. Saleh can can then claim that Al-Qaeda is growing in Yemen, and get more money from the American government. And then he can turn around and use the Al-Qaeda terrorists to kill his enemies and do his dirty work. He comes out a winner every time!

Unfortunately Saleh has been doing this for an extremely long time, and getting away it. I have noticed that he does not even try to hide it as much as he used to. Why should he? Clinton did nothing, Bush did nothing and now it looks like Obama will do nothing. Except to send Saleh more ex Gitmo terrorists back, who then return to Al-Qaeda. And that's exactly what Obama is planning on doing, sending 94 more Yemeni terrorists from Gitmo back to Yemen where they can then continue their careers in terrorism after they were so rudely interrupted and imprisoned when caught by US forces. The terrorists were forced to sign pledges that they would in fact be good boys and not revert back to terrorism. Saleh's Jihad Rehab has been criticized by our government as not doing enough to get the terrorist to change ways. Really! What amazing powers of insight that some of our politicians have!!

At the rate that Al-Qaeda is getting back their old recruits in Yemen they will be back on their feet and fit as a fiddle in no time. Ready to attack more American ships like the USS Cole, the American Embassy and other juicy targets of opportunity. And if Saleh crosses his fingers he just might get al-Nashiri the Cole bomber given back to him who is an expert at killing Americans and attacking ships.

Al-Nashiri had his charges dismissed last Friday by President Obama for attacking the USS Cole and murdering 17 American Sailors. The first step in gaining his freedom.

I despise Saleh of Yemen. But you got to give this swindler credit where credit is due. He has buffaloed two American presidents. And now he his own his third one. He even talked Bush out of invading Yemen first back when Bush was trying to make his mind up as to which country he would go after first on his list. This guy has gotten away with anything and everything. He broke deals with Bush one after another. Just like he did with Clinton. And suffered no negative consequences at all. He has protected our sons murderers for years now. And he continues to protect other know terrorists, and people who support terrorism. And gets away with it every damn time. Every terrorist alive knows that all they have to do is run to Yemen and they are safe. Saleh of Yemen is right up there with Bin Laden when it comes to evading any personal consequences while aiding and abetting terrorism.

Thanks to Our Military Families for Their Sacrifice

Mr. Gilley stated that I could post his letter that he wrote to my family. We have received many emails, phone calls and visits in the past few days since the news broke that President Obama dismissed the charges against the terrorists Al-Nashirir who helped to murder our son and so many other innocent people.

Mr.Gilley's letter woke me back up as to all the hardships that military families endure for service to this nation. And I am grateful for the reminder, and or wake up call. His brief story about his sons and their military experiences brought back all the memories that my wife and I used to always carry with us when our son was alive and serving in the military. I can remember being worried about the terrorists attacks, and how random those attacks were back in the 90's. And or a host of other things that could happen to him for serving his country.

Bin Laden had already gained world attention, but many people were still ignorant of the man. He had not murdered enough Americans to really get into the limelight of the American media. His murderous deeds had caught my family’s and my own attention though. And the worry for our son’s safety only increased.

Of course after our son was killed my family went into another peer group of Americans. Military Families who had lost a loved one to terrorism. And then my thinking and actions began to focus on another agenda. Obtaining the truth and justice for our murdered son and his mates. And in that process I lost touch with all those feelings and thoughts that we had when our son was alive and on active duty. And of course I was introduced to a whole new set of feelings and emotions with the murder of our son. And today the thought hit me, isn’t that what the far left loonies and other people are guilty of but to a greater extent. Maybe the lefties just don't ever really think about losing a loved one to terrorists, or don't even think about it all. Yes I know that the Left claims that they care about our military people, even as they are demanding that Gitmo be closed, and the terrorists freed. In short their actions do not match their talk. And in the end are we not all measured by our actions, and not what we say? Otherwise the left would have to realize that the terrorists cannot be allowed to go free and kill more innocent people.

So anyway that letter reminded me how my wife, daughter and myself would at supper times find ourselves looking at the empty chair at the table, and all us wondering the same thing. Is he safe? Or the time we were working out in the yard when a Army sedan drove up to the curb and the officer got out. My heart nearly stopped, and my wife just froze. But he was only lost and asked us for directions. I think the man must have thought we both had mental problems because we just stood there and said nothing for awhile. Or watching the news at night and hearing of all the little civil wars, and terrorist attacks. Would his unit be sent in, and or his ship?
And then Mr. Gilley writes his letter and tells me about his boys and their service to this nation and to me and my wife. But when you get down to the nitty gritty his boys are out there not only protecting my wife and myself but all Americans. So him and every other military family has every reason in the world to be proud of their sons and daughters. I needed that wake up call, and to return back to those old memories of worrying and waiting. Not all the time mind you. But enough to keep an attitude of gratitude to all the military men and women and their families waiting for their safe return. Mr Gilley is in a different yet similar group than myself, and I hope that him and his family never have to cross over to our group. But we both share many of the same values, traditions and experiences of being a military family.

I could not imagine of having two children in the military at the same time! Yes it would bring great pride, and much satisfaction at having two sons serving their nation. But on the other hand the concerns and fears would be doubled. So my hats off too any family with more than one loved one in the military!

So with all that said I want to say a Thank-you to all the military families out there who have had, and or have a loved ones life on the line for all of us.

Its so important that we as a nation demonstrate to our military that we support their actions, and their losses of loved ones in protecting us. If we as a nation cannot protect our civilians and military here at home by prosecuting those who have killed or tried to kill us than why are we even fighting the war for. Its really a self defeating action on our governments part. We have to show our military members that we can finish the job that they started. That all their hard work and all the deaths mean something to us. That after the military captures the terrorists that have caused so much death, suffering and pain to so many people that the least we can do is to ensure that those terrorists will be kept locked away from civilized society for good.

Mr. Gilley's letter: Tonight I was watching the news, and your name was mentioned. For some reason, I just feel compelled to write you, to encourage you and to let you know that others weep at night for their sons. My name is Charles Gilley, and I have two sons serving in the United States Army.

My older boy, Phil, is on his third combat tour. Unlike John Kerry, he refused his purple heart as the wound was not that serious – he would not accept it. He serves with the 1st Cav out of Fort Hood, and he is busy in Mosul at the moment. My other son is in Armor, formerly of the 3rd ID, Rock of the Marne. He just completed 15 months in Iraq, the last 4 in Sadr City, killing terrorists and murderers. The enemy learned to fear his unit. And when “the wild bunch” were done, there wasn’t much left.

The only reason I tell you this is not to claim some great pride in my sons, though I do. But I do know the worry, and I do know the cost they may be required to pay. I pray our country is worthy of their blood and your son’s. I would not presume to understand the depth of your loss, perhaps one day I will. Until that time, you have my sincere thanks for instilling bravery and service in your son. They always seem to be better than us, don’t they? I will keep you in my prayers, that you would keep the faith. If perchance you pass through Georgia, or any of your family, there is always a place at my table.

Like I said to you before Mr. Gilley. Its our hope that your sons come home safe and sound. And yes they are better than us. I guess that most parents always want life to be better for their kids than it was for them. And that some parents try to explain to their kids the mistakes they made in the hopes that their own children want have to make those mistakes as well. And sometimes they don't.

In closing I will add, I hope that our government is worthy of the sacrifice that so many families have made in the loss of their loved ones, and all the wounded military men and women too. I know that our country is worth the sacrifice, but at times I have serious doubts as to if our government is.

Why We Chose Not to Meet with President Obama

Yesterday we were driving back from Houston, Texas from obtaining a passport for my daughter so she could attend the arraignment of al-Nashiri who had helped in the Cole Bombing. We were expecting to leave for Gitmo no later than this Saturday. I knew that Obama would no doubt dismiss the charges against al-nashiri. Our government has repeatably found excuses so as not to take any action against the Cole bombers and or those who support them. Like the countries of Yemen and the Sudan. So it came as no surprise to me when an Obama's aide called to tell me that we had an invitation to attend a meeting where president Obama would explain his reasons for dismissing the charges against the terrorists. I told him that it was on a short notice and that we would not be attending.

Why attend a meeting when you already know the inevitable outcome. And President Obama has already signed the order to close Gitmo, and a request to stop the trials. Which they did. With only one judge who had the strength, courage and conviction to stand up for the murdered sailors and say that al-nashiri's arraignment would go forward. So anyway I asked the aide if he would please get my letter to Obama instead. He said he would if I faxed it. I had wrote Obama a letter the previous week pleading with him to change his mind. I faxed the letter later that same day. I knew that I would have to tell my wife later on when we got home that our murdered son's trail had become a victim of petty politics. And that she would be upset and hurt yet again.

I wish that our government would not play the head games that they have played with the victims families. Its extremely disrespectful of the victims and their families. The government could have stopped this charade that there was going to be a trial after Obama had requested that there would be no trials in the first place. But instead my daughter took time off from work to make a 400 mile round trip to purchase a passport that she will probably never need. And of course she had to experience another let down when Obama's aide called. And my wife as well.

The trials of our son's killers have become a heated political debate, and a political weapon that the liberals are using to get back at the past Bush administration, and the republican party. While the victims murders go unanswered, and the feelings of their families are taken on a emotional roller coaster ride.

While my family, myself and a good majority of Americans are wondering how can the Military Commissions Tribunals which were approved by congress can be overturned a by a President who does not agree with them. That's not a democracy. That's more like how President Saleh in Yemen acted after our son's killers were tried in their courts. Saleh intervened for the killers and Al-Qaeda and then reduced their sentences, and pardoned others. And had the other Cole Bombers tried on unrelated charges, and then freed. As victims we had hoped that our own government would show us a little more respect. Wrong!

Back in 2000 right after the attack on the Cole we refused to meet with President Clinton, and I also refused to speak with Vice President Gore. For that decision we were housed in a different BAQ at Norfolk than the other families. And the next day we were not allowed in to the Memorial Services for the sailors of the Cole attack. It took the Commanding Officer of the base to get us in to the services, and up front with the rest of the families. I relate that story because I was not going to tell the news at first why we did not go and meet with Obama. But my wife insisted that I tell someone, and that our son deserves a trial. Its long overdue. So I did. I am not saying that Obama would react as childish as Clinton did. I don't think he would. But I did not want to see anymore head games on the part of the government. And by the way I have plenty of witnesses for that fiasco, plus a letter of apology from the base commander. And our Escort officer was there too at the time, and did her best to try and get us in with the rest of the families.

I am sick to death of all the support that these terrorists have here in America. From Human Rights Groups to the far left loonies. I am working at obtaining a lawyer to find out if we the victim's families and the actual victims have any constitutional rights. Are if those rights are only reserved for the terrorists who murdered our son. I have grown weary and tired of watching my sons mother and sister be hurt by their own government time after time again.

I like to think that if President Obama was in my shoes, and one of his own children had been murdered by a terrorists that he as the father would go to any lengths with in the law to make sure that his murdered child received justice. And God forbid that such a thing should ever happen to him, and his family. I would never wish such a thing on any person.

We chose not to meet with Clinton because we had no respect for the man. We knew he had done nothing for the victims of the Embassy bombings, and expected that he would make only empty promises like he had after all the other bombings on his watch. We were right. My decision as not to meet President Obama was not because I disrespected the man, but that he had already made his decision quite clear to everyone. Maybe Obama will have the terrorists tried at a later date. We hope so. We also hope that he will not return anymore Yemenis from Gitmo back to Saleh of Yemen to be freed. Not until he tells Saleh to turn over the Cole terrorists for a trial here in America. But then again would they ever go to trial even if they were extradited back to America?
I just read where the White House speaker for Obama stated "the president is interested in swift justice". 8 friking long years to bring one of the terrorists to trial to only have the charges dismissed on the terrorist! And that's Obama's idea of swift justice? Oh please!

More Gitmo Terrorists Fail Saudi Rehab

Saudi Arabia announced today that 11 former terrorists released from Gitmo are now on the Kingdom's most wanted list despite having completed Jihad Rehab. Among the 11 are two terrorists who have been promoted to leaders in the Yemeni Al-Qaeda faction. One of those bad boys is wanted for the attack on the US Embassy this past September in Yemen where innocent people were killed. Too bad these creeps were not kept in prison where they belonged. But the liberals wanted them free and so they were freed. And now its time for innocent people to pay for the mistakes of government officials.

The Pentagon has stated that its unlikely to stop the terrorists transfers to Saudi Arabia. Pentagon spokesman Navy Cmdr. Jeffrey Gordon said that the U.S. sees the Saudi Jihad Rehab program as admirable. I wonder how the victims families of those released terrorists feel Mr. Cmdr. Gordon. And I am willing to bet you good money Mr. Gordon that you will change your tune when some of these released terrorists finish their rehab and then go and blow up some Americans. Its just a damn shame that innocent people will have to be killed before someone in the government wakes up and realizes that maybe Jihad Rehab is not an extremely good idea. At the rate these terrorists are failing to respond to their counseling from psychologists, preachers, and sociologists it want be long before the America people demand that these terrorists be kept locked up where they belonged in the first place. Obama Gives 20 Million to Hamas.

Obama is giving 20.3 million bucks to Hamas! Whoa! That is a ton of bullets and rockets that the terrorists can fire back at the Israelis. I know that the money is really supposed to be used for humanitarian purposes. And I hope that some of it will get to the innocent people in Palestine.

But to trust that Hamas will not use some of the money to increase their arsenal is hard to believe. Hamas has already been caught hijacking aid shipments to the needy people in Gaza. So what do you think that they will do with 20 million dollars? I just don't agree with doing business with thugs like Hamas. And Hamas is the big dog in Palestine calling the shots. Literally.

02/04/09 "Hamas police raided an UNRWA (United Nations Relief and Works Agency) warehouse in Gaza Tuesday evening, stealing thousands of blankets and hundreds of food parcels from local staff at gunpoint." I just read that story in the news this morning.

"Hamas police grabbed 3,500 blankets and 407 food parcels, according to Gunness, who said his staff was present at the time of the heist. "We were there, and we tried to stop them, but they were armed and we were not," he said." Like I said, Hamas is nothing but a gang of terrorist thugs. I think its a sure bet that some of that money will fall into Hamas hands to be used against Israel.
